Expeditions Nevado Alpamayo & Artesonraju 12 Days

Alpamayo is one of the most attractive peaks in the Cordillera Blanca in the Peruvian Andes. The Alpinism Magazine (May 1966) called it ‘The most beautiful mountain in the world.’
Paramount Pictures is one of the most beautiful mountains in the Andes. This magnificent ice pyramid is situated in the Cordillera Blanca in Peru, between the Santa Cruz Valley in the North and Paron Valley in the South.

Nowadays, this mountain became pretty popular, especially because of its two main routes. The first one is on the Northern side, accessible through Santa Cruz Valley. The second one is on the Southern side, accessible through the Paron Lagoon. It is situated at the end of the valley with the same name. The second route is particularly recognized for the excellent ice escalation that it requires, a slope of approximately 900 meters, at a 45 to 55° angle.
